Old Fashion Fun with a Modern Twist

We took the Today Dental "bad boy" golf cart out for a spin and used it to climb trees and get to a small pond where we could fish for some tiny fish!

A Day in Quarantine Life

We are keeping busy and finding ways to have fun during this COVID 19 pandemic.

Fun camping and movies in the backyard...

to Butterfly kits- where we watched caterpillars grow, make cocoons, and emerge as butterflies- then released them!

and of course finding ways to practice sports.

The kids have been so good and for the most part really happy despite the circumstances.  We remain confidant and positive and whatever happens we will hold strong to our faith!  #faithoverfear

Musical Talent

The kids have started taking music lessons. Singing and either guitar or piano. While it's been a struggle getting them to practice, having the coronavirus has helped us lock it down and make sure they at least get in about 30 minutes in a day... nothing else to do :)

I remember those days as a kid... hating to play and practice... and my parents always saying "I wish I had practiced when I was younger" and not really believing them. Now, full circle, here I am saying the same things to my kids. I really hope they stick with it and catch the musical bug.

Beautiful Brynlee

Brynlee has always been so smiley and happy. We love that about her. Her is some sidewalk chalk to show off her artistic skills and have her personality shine a little.

Easter!!

The kids could hardly sleep last night as they knew Easter was the next day. The Easter bunny was good to them this year, giving them not just one, but two Easter egg hunts... the bunny has to get creative when your stuck inside all day. It was all smiles today and lots of fun to see the kids so happy running around hunting for those eggs and gifts.

They also got a third hunt from their Uncle Chad and Aunt Haylee... one of their eggs was empty to symbolize that Christ had risen and the tomb was empty. Love it!

Boston's New Home

Getting stir crazy, I braved the elements of being close to other people... with a mask and gloves on, entering Home Depot to buy some wood. It was such a nice day out, we had to get out and do something. The kids have been dying to build Boston a dog house... so Boston got a new place to sleep at night.

Here Comes #9

Despite the coronavirus, we are still able to keep pushing along on building the offices. Looks like our Flower Mound location is getting close. This is in my parents building that they've been building as a retail strip center for the past year or so. Beautiful Buildling! We're excited to get going.

Restoration Study

All the kids have been loving arts and crafts lately- I can tell because of the millions of paper scraps I pick up daily ;).  

Maycee is really learning technique and getting quite good.  During the weeks before conference we took a quick break from our regular history lessons to study our church history and Joseph Smith's story. 

During this time our ward was putting on a virtual (because of covid) art exhibit of  pieces from the Restoration.  Maycee spent her time creating this beautiful picture of the First Vision and was featured in the exhibit.  She did a great job and I'm proud of her for working hard on it!

She used this picture that I took on my camera from our trip to the Sacred Grove when she was still a tiny little thing in my belly!
