A Party Fit for a Texan

Greg turned 60 the last week in January and because the Andersons 'Go Big or Go Home' we threw a ho-down to top all ho-downs!

Here's the set up complete with old fashion root beer and cream soda, wanted ads for the birthday guy, and chaps and a belt buckle!

The presents included guns- cuz you can't live in Texas if you don't have one!

Then it was off to the shooting range!

After that it was dinner at Texas famous Babe's restaurant and then back to the house, where, yes, there was a mechanical bull in our living room!

Yeee-Haw!!!

Happy Birthday!  You are a wonderful father, father-in-laws, grandpa, friend, and business partner!
We love you!

Derby Time

Jase is officially a scout and this year was our first official Pinewood Derby
We didn't place, but at least we weren't last by any means either- so I consider that a successful first year.
Dad, we need to know your tricks!

We called Jase's car 'Blue Lightening"

All set to race!

Great Wolf Lodge

One of our Christmas gifts to the kids was a weekend at Great Wolf Lodge.  It's fun hotel with a cool indoor water park.

We had a super duper time.

One cute story about this trip.  Before we left, Maycee told her little friend Landon all about it and all I heard him say from the upstairs toy room was " Oh no , this is not good, I need to talk to your mom about this. This is really really bad." I
I waited down stair for Landon to come talk to me worried about what had happened.
He came to me and said: "Ummm Meagan why are you guys going to a water park on Sunday? Don't you know that is not the right thing to do." hahaha- I love that sweet boy. I assured him that we were just checking into the hotel on Sunday and doing the water park the next day on Monday.  He was relieved.  Cute little Londo- he's always been looking out for everybody's salvation- even telling his school teacher that it is very wrong for her to drink coffee.  lol He'll make a great missionary one day!
