Meagan and I have thought and prayed a lot over our kids. We have always contemplated the idea of homeschooling with the pros sounding very enticing. Well, after a lot of thought, we decided to give it a try. Stepping out into uncharted territory for our family can be a little intimidating, but I feel comfortable saying this was the right decision for us.
With Jase going into intermediate school this year, we felt this was a great time to keep everyone home and have the chance to be more of an influence on all of them for just a little bit longer. Meagan has really been the one to head this up. In fact, I don't do anything except be the comic relief on Thursdays where we take the day off and go play as a family, and give Meag some much needed time off to go play tennis or catch up on things she hasn't had time to get to through the week. I must say, it is quite the time commitment for her. While all of her friends are seeing more and more of their kids head off to school and getting a sense of freedom for most of the day, she is locking it down with all of them, ALL day long. I'd glad to have a wife who is so dedicated to our kids, their education and spiritual well being.
So here's to the next few years and possibly more!
