What's Black and White and Red all over...hopefully not you!

Our 11th annual Halloween party was another success.
All black and white costumes- choose a team black or white, and let the games begin!

We started with some yummy dinner catered from Costa Vida  (thanks Kyle & Amy)

Then it was off to choose your team.  Would you drink your allegiance to the dark side (with some root beer) or to the light side (with some sprite) .

Teams lined up ready to compete.

We played a series of games and each game two new people (one from the white team and one from the black team) had to be "on the chopping block"

If you found yourself on the chopping block when your team lost...well then this happened.......

SERIOUSLY!!!  I wasn't sure how this was going to go over- but we have the BEST friends and it was hysterical!!

Some fun group pics before things got messy :)

By complete surprise 4 of the 11 couples came as Cruella DeVil and Dalmation :), but they all pulled it off in unique ways.  Such great costumers!

 KISS another favorite!

Catching a Game - Go Mavs!

We have yet to go to a game where the Mavs win a game. We seem to always want to go to a game when their opponents are the team we are secretly cheering for. It's taken us a little longer for the Dallas teams to grow on us, but we're getting there... slowly but surely.

We invited Ethan and Greg Packer to a game with us. We lost (again, I think), but still had a lot of fun hanging with friends and getting to park in the handicap parking (Greg tore his Achilles... one of maybe the only upsides to doing that).

Spooky Halloween on the Horizon

October means Halloween is just around the corner. It also means great weather... so more golf lessons and helping Brynlee find little critters.

A Night at the Drive-Ins

The fall in Texas doesn't get any better. We decided to take advantage of the nice nights by going to the drive-ins. The Coyote Drive in has a cool backdrop, just outside of the Fort Worth skyline.
This brings me back to the times when I was growing up and my parents would throw us in the trunk of their car to sneak us into the drive-ins. We'd love going and thought it was so cool to be able to sit in our car, eat popcorn, hang with Mom and Dad, and watch a movie. And not just one movie, but a double header!!

Jase & Maycee Hit the Links

This was Maycee's first time out on a real course. Both kids did great! I of course, tagged along in a golf cart. We all know that's why people golf anyways :)

Brynlee Soccer

Another season of soccer for Brynlee. The first season didn't turn out so well, but this year is a different story. She is getting right in there with the pack and fighting for the ball. She's even got some goals this season, Yay for Brynners!!
