I feel like this blog is turning into the Brynlee show, but she is kind of commanding all our attention as of late and we all LOVE to give it to her. She gets lots of kisses, hugs, and sniffing of her yummy little neck...it's borderline smothering...ok it is smothering!
So more about Brynlee's foot situation.
I realize so many people deal with much harder things with their children than a clubfoot, and I count my blessings that she is otherwise healthy, but I tell you what, IT IS HARD!

It's hard to see your baby struggle and it is hard to not be able to cuddle them completely because there is a big hard cast or brace in the way. It's hard to see her scream in pain and frustration and not be able to explain it to her or take it away.
It's crazy how this trial has brought a lot of perceptive to me and the added blessing of more compassion and love toward other parents and children.
We've been dealing with weekly cast changes, and now a brace which she will wear 23/7 (meaning we can remove it for baths or swimming for a bit) for 3 more months and then she will have to wear it at nights until she is 3 years old. It's a long process, but I'm so happy that she will be just fine and be able to run and jump and play normally. We are so blessed!
I know it's only natural for everyone to ask about it, but sometimes I forget she has them on. I look forward to showing her off or for people to comment on our cute baby, but the conversation usually always begins with the explanation of a clubfoot I don't get offended at all, but I just might start making something up like: "Well we really want her to be an Olympic snowboarder, so you know, you can never start the training too early- and yes we are looking for sponsors." ;)
Actually, Ryan's the one holding out for a 'snowboarder'. I'm hanging on to 'Professional Ballerina'
