Jase Baseball

Jase is such a great little athlete and does well at just about anything he puts his mind to. With Jeff Zimmer as the head coach, Jase has enjoyed multiple years playing for the Rockies. After realizing he wasn't going to be beaned every time he got up to the plate, he started really hitting the ball well. He was also the closing pitcher for the team. Coach Zimmer called him "Iceman" because of his ability to block out all the stress of the game on the line, throw strikes and close down the game. Definitely going to miss seeing him up on the mound and up to bat, ready to make something happen.

A Luck of the Irish Parade

I have one green shirt and hang on to it every year so that I can wear it for St. Patrick's Day. We had a ton of fun going to a parade, getting our faces painted, and enjoying the pirates and other shows that were around the area.

I also love seeing my kids little characters show. So dang cute!

A LoCATION

We did a Local Vacation for a few days. Heading back up to our old stomping grounds of the Mckinney area, we ran around with the kids, packing in as much fun as possible into a 3 day span. I think the kids even enjoyed having sleep overs in the hotel rooms every night.

From mini golf, go karts, swimming, visiting the Dallas Cowboys practice fields in Frisco, parks, ice cream, movies, we had a ton of fun being a family.

Our funniest experience was at the Dallas Cowboys practice field. There is a field that they let you play on . Half way through our soccer game, Emee was passed a soccer ball. Trying to kick it back to me, she swung and missed and fell back. With no crying or whimpering, she slowly rolled over to her stomach and laid there the rest of the time. After making sure she wasn't actually hurt, we tried coxing her up to continue playing, but she wasn't having any of it. She probably laid there, motionless, eyes open with a straight face, for 25 minutes.  Funny/stubborn girl!

The Good 'ol Days

I remember back when I was little and we were building our home in Pleasanton. We had a little pond where we'd build boats out of scraps, push them into the middle of the pond, then spend half an hour throwing rocks at it to try and sink the ship.

Fast forward to the next generation and we are doing the same thing. When rocks became scarce, we used a handgun, a welcomed addition to our game, to make sure our ship never saw the light of day again.

We Love Trucks

When you have a Ford F-150, a car I would drive even if I had billions of dollars... even a simple car wash can turn into something fun. Probably my favorite part was watching Jase trying to control a pressure sprayer for the first time. Nearly knocked him over the first time he pressed the trigger.

Gatsplat... Way Different than Paintballing?

Do Gatsplat, they said... it won't hurt at all, they said. I survived the experience and am here to tell you it doesn't hurt... unless you get hit on the top of your head at point blank range. So not convinced it's that much softer.

With the pain came a ton of fun with Jase. We had a blast taking on teams and totally dominating our groups. Looks like we may have a dead-eye in the making.

A Day at the Zoo

Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my!

The zoo is always a great spot for us to go and learn about animals... and lets be honest, we love finding ways to get the kids to walk a few miles in a day and come home and fall asleep early for the night. A win-win.

Maycee Basketball

We love watching our kids learning, growing, and developing new talents. Maycee gave basketball a try, and I must say, she's a natural. I think this will be a great sport for her to use her quickness and coordination. Lots of points were scored by her this year, yay!!

Pedicures for All!

Our Today Dental staff talked us into all getting pedicures. I must say, I see the draw to this. Maybe a little less painting of the toenails and more massaging would get us guys in there more often :)
